Hitachi Energy is looking for an Engineering Manager to join our Grid Automation Service unit in Sweden. You will be based in Västerås and lead a team of experienced engineers specialized in Substation Automation Systems and Grid Automation Systems, playing a key role in service excellence and business growth. 
Grid Automation Service at Hitachi Energy in Västerås provides system solutions for protection and control of power grids to customers within the transmission, distribution, power generation, wind, railway, and manufacturing industry segments. The unit’s system solutions are based on our products within the Relion® relay and control family, as well as substation and remote control solutions using MicroSCADA and RTUs. 
How you’ll make an impact  
Lead, coach, and develop a team of experienced Engineers within Grid Automation Service 
Oversee day‑to‑day service operations, project execution, and resource planning 
Ensure timely delivery and high quality of service projects and service sales 
Drive and implement service strategy, performance standards, and continuous improvements 
Build strong relationships with customers, sales, and internal stakeholders while monitoring market trends and competitor activities 

Your Background 
Senior experience within substations, relay protection, RTU, and/or MicroSCADA applications  
Minimum 5 years of experience working in project environments within engineering or technical roles  
Strong technical expertise combined with commercial awareness  
Engineering degree at Bachelor level or equivalent relevant work experience 
Very good knowledge of Swedish (mandatory) and good skills in English, both spoken and written
